Community balloon festival run by the Bath Hot Air Balloon Club. Features mass balloon ascents, a Night Glow tethered balloon display, birds of prey, a pyrotechnic air display, wing walkers, and live tribute music. Held at Snake Meadows, Saltford.

Bristol International Balloon Fiesta

Ashton Court Estate, Bristol, bristol

Europe's largest annual balloon event, running since 1979. Free to attend. Up to 100 hot air balloons with mass ascents at 6am and 6pm. The famous Night Glow on Friday and Saturday evenings sees balloons illuminated to a synchronised soundtrack followed by fireworks. Arena entertainment, stunt displays and Meet the Pilots sessions throughout. Attracts around 150,000 visitors.

Northampton Balloon Festival

Northampton Racecourse, Northampton, northamptonshire

Long-running annual festival on the historic Northampton Racecourse. Features hot air balloon tethering, flights and a Night Glow display, plus arena entertainment, parachute displays, funfair, circus workshops and Saturday evening fireworks. Open 12pm–10:30pm daily across the three-day weekend.

Strathaven Balloon Festival

Strathaven Park, Strathaven, south-lanarkshire

Scotland's only dedicated hot air balloon festival, run entirely by volunteers. Free to attend. Balloon launches at dawn and dusk on Saturday and Sunday, an Evening Glow with balloons illuminated to music, live bands, funfair, classic vehicles and family activities. Consistently one of Scotland's most popular summer events.

Chatsworth Country Fair

One of England's premier country fairs set in the 1,000-acre parkland of Chatsworth House. Features mass ascents of over 50 hot air balloons at dawn and dusk — the UK's second largest balloon display. Grand ring entertainment, celebrity chefs, fine food village and free car parking. Children under 16 free.

Longleat Icons of the Sky

Longleat Estate, Warminster, wiltshire

Aviation extravaganza at Longleat Safari Park combining hot air balloons and aircraft, including special shape balloons. Two mass balloon ascents per day, aircraft displays including a Spitfire and P-51 Mustang, aerobatics and a spectacular Night Glow with fireworks finale each evening. Entry included in park ticket.
